How to create a Surface Mesh of a Tunnel from Point Cloud data

Background

Having received a dgn model containing Point data captured during a survey of an existing tunnel, user would like to create a Surface Mesh from this data for further modelling and visualization.

Existing Point Data

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open the DGN containing the Point data
2. Using Element Section select the existing survey Point elements
3. From the Modelling Workflow select the Mesh tab followed by the Mesh From Points tool.
4. In the Tool Settings dialog, set the Direction to Tunnel
5. Optional: In the Tool Settings dialog check the 'Keep Original' to retain the Point elements
6. In the View enter a Data Point (Left Mouse button) to except the selected points
7. Move the cursor in the direction of the Tunnel and enter another Data Point
