How to Select all the elements within a Shape using the Element Selection tool.
When using the Element Selection tool, a dynamic selection Block can be drawn around elements, such that all the elements within this block become selected. In some instances, it may that a Block is not suitable, and a dynamic selection Shape is required to avoid selecting unwanted elements.
By default, the Element Selection tool method is set to 'Individual' in the Tool Settings dialog but allows you to place a Block around elements.
Select 'Shape' in the Tool Settings dialog to use a Shape.
Note: The Element Selection methods, 'Individual' 'Block' 'Shape' 'Circle' and 'Line' can be used in combination. To do this Select the elements using the first method, press and hold down the 'CTRL' key following by selecting a different method, then continue selecting whilst keeping 'CTRL' key pressed.
