Problem

On occasion, an undocked dialog or window will become 'stuck' with no apparent route to recovery.

Solution

In these cases, the Window List Dialog can be leveraged to recover the misbehaving item.

You have several options to find the Window List Dialog.

Option One: Use the Ribbon Search to search for 'Window List', and select the tool.

Note: Hovering over the list item will display pathways to access the tool via the ribbon interface.

Option Two:  Alternately in the bottom right corner of the application interface, locate the dialog focus indicator.

If a dialog has focus, the indicator will be populated, and the focus reported.  This is also indicated via specific icons.

Some examples:

If no dialog has focus, no icon is shown.

Regardless of displayed focus, selecting within the area will launch the Window List Dialog:

Option Three: Click on the little arrow next to the Key-In tool, expand out the list of tools and select Window List from the pulldown menu.

From the Window List Dialog:
Selecting the desired item and pressing the OK button will cause the item to relocate to the area occupied by the application window.
