How to install MicroStation without an internet connection, or without entering the proxy username and password.
The MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3 and 4) installer attemps to contact the internet to download and install prerequisite components as well as the Bentley Visualization Content. If you don't have an internet connection, or if you have a proxy and don't enter in the username and password the installation wizard will hang until you connect to the internet or enter in the proxy information.
After you've downloaded and installed the Pre-requisite Pack, and Bentley Visualization Content you can now install MicroStation and the installer should not attempt to connect to the internet.
Thanks Darius, my problem was I used product = "MicroStation", which lists v8.11.07 but not v8.11.09. I think someone forgot to add the MicroStation product tag to the prereq download.
Piers, I still see separate download of Prerequisites version 08.11.09.03 available. Set 'Product'='Prerequisites Pack for Bentley Desktop Applications', or set 'Product Line'='Platform Technology'; and don't forget to set 'Files posted within last'='All'.

Where is the prerequisite download for version 08.11.09.xx. ? The latest one I can see is v8.11.07.xx, as it seems to be built-in to more recent versions of MicroStation and not available as a separate download. This is a problem when the installer asks for a product that isn't available.
