Adding "Display Style List" to a new Toolbox, or customizing an existing one.
When you want to customize an existing Toolbox, or creating a new one, and want to add the "Display Style List" to it, you may find it not easy to do so.This option, has been found, for example, in the "3D View Control" - toolbox, is not directly available in the Customize dialog box.For menu option "Settings" > "Display Styles" you could find out key-in "mdl keyin CUSTOMDISPMODE DIALOG DISPLAYSTYLES" via "Workspace" > "Customize" dialog.
To do so, by creating a new entry and add a key-in.
The key-in
MDL KEYIN CUSTOMDISPMODE DIALOG DISPLAYSTYLES
will open the Display Styles dialog.
MDL KEYIN VIEWCTRL CHANGE VIEW CUSTOM "<display style>:<display option>" <view number>
will let you set the desired Display Style at once.
For example
MDL KEYIN VIEWCTRL CHANGE VIEW CUSTOM "Smooth:Shadows" 1
will set the Display Style "Smooth" with "Shadows" enabled for View 1
When the default option is desired the key-in syntax could be as follows:
MDL KEYIN VIEWCTRL CHANGE VIEW CUSTOM "Smooth" 1
The following parameters are available by default for this key-in:
