Problem Description

Getting "access denied" error when attempting to copy a MicroStation plot file directly to a printer using the copy/b command.

 

Steps to Resolve

Go to Devices and Printers and right mouse the printer select printer properties. On 'Advanced" tab of the printer, under "Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster" heading, choose "Start printing immediately" (instead of "Print directly to printer"). 

Also, on the print server, confirm the security setting on c:\windows\system32\spool\printers give “Everyone” full control.
