How to identify the active Workspace folder location

Background

Often MicroStation can be working with a centralized Workspace located over a network share or simply with a Workspace different from the the one delivered with the application.

In these cases finding the location of the Workspace in use may not be an easy task, especially if there are multiple version of MicroStation in the company, which can all be using their own different Workspace.

Steps to Accomplish

Option 1: The "About Workspace" Dialog

1. Open MicroStation

2. Open the "Workspace" menu and select "About Workspace"

3. You will easily identify the location of the active Workspace folder (see mage below)

If the path is too long and you only see the rest of it, hover above with the mouse. You will get a fly-out that shows you the full path.

Option 2: Using the key-in dialog

1. Open MicroStation

2. Open the key-in dialog

3. Typer the following key-in, without quotation marks, and hit Enter: "$ % explorer $(_USTN_WORKSPACEROOT)"

The active Workspace folder will open in a Windows Explorer session.
