Hello,
Our model presently stores its transit data as text (.txt) files. In the past, we edit these transit line files by opening them in the NET interface, but moving forward we would like to do our network editing in the GIS interface. I cannot figure out how to convert transit TXT files into a format that I can load into the GIS interface. How do I do that?
I've looked at the Cube documentation and it explains how to import a transit LIN file into a GDB, and from there load into the GIS window, but I cannot find any documentation on how to load a transit TXT file to a GDB, nor how to convert TXT to a LIN file.
Could anyone explain to me how to convert transit TXT files to a GDB transit network? Or to a LIN file?
Thank you,
Hi Darren.
.lin is just the common extension to CUBE line files stored in text format. If your .txt file storing the transit lines is in the right format, then you should be able to import it as explained in the documentation (from LIN to GDB).

Thanks Filippo! Fixing was as simple as changing the file extension from TXT to LIN.
