When I create an Analysis Zone and Analysis that graphs the space density in that zone, is the space density simply calculated by the number of entities in the zone divided by the area of the zone?
Or is it an average of the density experienced by the entities in the analysis zone (i.e. density of zero in the zone wouldn't be taken into account), similar to how the cumulative mean for a density contour does not account for the duration where density is zero.
Thanks,
Hi Dilip,
I still don't get the second choice but for Space Density it's simply calculated by the number of entities in the zone divided by the area of the zone.

Yes, I did some more reading in the manual and saw that that is how space density is calculated.
However, there is also the option of getting the Entity Density in the analysis zone. I believe that this is the density experienced by the entities in the analysis zone?
Correct, Entity Density in the analysis zone is the density experienced by the entities in the analysis zone.
