In some cases, the user might have trouble activating the 16 digit license key, using the License Manager. This could be due to several reasons such as:
- The computer is not connected to the internet
- The network firewall is preventing the license manager from communicating with the activation server.
- The user has permission restrictions which does not allow the license manager to save the license files to the computer.
Solution
If for some reason, you are not able to activate the 16 digit license key using our license manager, you can choose the manual activation option, outside of license manager. To do a manual activation, follow the steps below.

Open Citilabs License Manager

Go to “Menu >> Manual Activation” and note down the host id of the computer where you are trying to activate the license

Open a web browser and go to http://rlmactivation.citilabs.com/actpro/ManualActivation.php

Enter your 16 digit activation key and the host id (see note below) which you noted down in step 2. Click on ‘Create License’
(note: for physical machines, enter "disksn=" followed by the HostID, e.g., disksn=123456abcdef)
5.Step 4 will create a license file. Hit ‘Download’ to download the license file to your computer.
6.Open Citilabs License Manager. Go to “Menu>>Manual Activation”.
7.Hit ‘Browse’ and select the downloaded license file.
8.Hit OK. If the activation is successful, the license manager should list the products available with your license
