How to convert a CUBE Land model from the CUBE Land v6.1.0 to the "new" CUBE Land v6.5

CUBE CE v6.5 release includes a new version of the CUBE Land program for Land Use modelling.

The new CUBE Land program presents several improvements, particularly in terms of software architecture and performance, usability, and user’s control of the simulation. It also implements an improved supply model, together with improvements in the possible definition of location and supply constraints for the user. Finally, the model presents a revised output structure, with more detailed reporting and analysis capabilities.

To convert the inputs for this new version of CUBE Land, you can download the tool below:

communities.bentley.com/.../Cube_5F00_Land_5F00_Conv_5F00_v20201210.zip

This tool provides you a CUBE catalog with a template to convert your inputs from the "old" 32bit CUBE Land (v.02/24/2010 [6.1.0]) to the "new" 64bit CUBE Land (v6.5).

Select your input CUBE Land files through catalog keys and press run - under the specific scenario panel.

Be aware that if endogenous variables were defined in the "old" CUBE Land depending on zonal coefficients (Z[j]), then the "new" CUBE Land will return the following warning message, and it will be necessary to create an RZ attribute with the same zonal attribute for the coefficients.

[WARNING] The definition of variable Z[j] as an endogenous variable is discarded. The coefficients file is invalid; it must be one of these files: A, RZ.

NOTE: If your "old" CUBE Land inputs were using customized attributes, different than what used in the CUBETOWN demo model (IDAGENT, IDREST, IDZONE), please update the conversion scripts within the "conInp" sub-application to read the different column names.
