Voyager Vs Voyager Compact

Product(s):CUBE
Version(s):6.5
Area:Voyager

Problem

CUBE v6.5 comes with two flavors of Voyager: Voyager and Voyager Compact. The compact version of Voyager has limited functionality and is suitable for models with small number of zones. After installing CUBE v6.5 for the first time on a computer, when the user runs a program or a model or starts Voyager through some other means, they will be prompted to select one or the other (screenshot below). If the user has a Voyager license entitlement (most users), then they should always choose Voyager. This information is then stored in the computer's registry. If you accidentally choose Voyager Compact, then you will be provided with a trial license of Voyager Compact which is valid for 7 days. During this time, you will not be able to use Cluster and after the 7 day period, Voyager will stop working since this is a trial license. In this wiki solution, we provide the steps needed to switch back to Voyager and use your Voyager license entitlement instead of the Voyager Compact trial license

Solution

Follow the steps below to switch back to full Voyager from Voyager Compact.

  1. In Windows search, type in registry editor and open

2. Inside Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Citilabs\Cube Voyager

3. Right click on the compact key and delete it

4. Close the registry editor

5. Open CUBE and run a program or your model in Voyager. CUBE will prompt you to select Voyager/Voyager Compact. Select Voyager.
