To perform calculations for link attributes based on link-based conditions and for a sub-selection of the links determined by drawing a polygon in the NET window please follow the steps below.

Step 1. Open your NET in the NET Window

Step 2. Create a polygon selection around your sub-area

• Got to Drawing Layer > Edit Polygon ribbon > New

• Draw your sub-area polygon like in the example below

• Click on “Show Selected Links” as below (optional, just to visualized the sub-area network links)

 

Step 3. Perform the link calculation with criteria for links inside the polygons

• Under the “Link” ribbon under “Link Data” click on “Compute” and express your condition as below (or any condition you like based on link attributes). NOTE: you need to select under “Applies To” the sub-selection of links based on the polygons, you have a few options (inside, outside, inside and crossing, etc.)
