Version(s):

6.1 to 6.5

Area:

Network Editor

There are various models which requires the users to compare the networks of two or more scenarios/conditions. CUBE has the ability to run comparisons between two network files, e.g. NET files, through a script.

Solution

To create difference networks from your outputs you need to use a Network program first, undertaking the comparison (e.g. difference) for any desired variable. This allows to have an automatic process generating the desired comparison network for any new scenario. An example is provided within the Cubetown catalog within the “GDB Outputs” sub-application > Network program #6.

For example, if you are comparing HW network assignments, you could use the Template provided when entering a new Network program as below:

To visualize the corresponding bandwidths. Please open the Output Network from this Network program and follow the following procedure:

1. Click on Analysis > Multi-Bandwidth…

2. Select ABSLOADCHG as Attribute and Dynamic Color

3. Then Click on the Color box and select fields as below using LOADCHG for “Base Color On”

4. In the example, only two links changed.

You can download the Cubetown catalog here: https://www.citilabs.com/support/learning-center/.
