How to Use True Shape Display?

Product(s):Cube
Version(s):6.1 to 6.5
Area:Network Window

Here
we learn how to create a CUBE network (NET) from a shapefile. CUBE network files do not have any geometry. However, if you have the associated shapefile, then the network file can align with the former to give it real-world geometry of the roads. The ZIP folder attached was provided for this example. Below is the RoadCenterline network file not aligned with any shapefile.

Solution

1. Open the RoadCenterline.net file in CUBE and the Network Window should pop up with the network file displayed.

2. Click the Layer Control > Polyline Browse. Optionally, you can type in the full path of the file in the File Name box.

3. You can either click Return to Previous or click All Done to proceed to step 5.

4. If you selected Return to Previous, then you can Save Configuration to save this setting as a new VPR (virtual project file).

5. Click Close when finished.

6. Click the GIS Tools tab True Shape Display... Refresh.

7. Click OK when done.

Here is the network after the true shape aligned process.
