How can I use earlier versions with Bentley Software Entitlement Services?

  1. Install a CONNECT edition version of EMME or DYNAMEQ from our software download centre.
    1. Note: you do not need to uninstall earlier non-CONNECT versions.
  2. After installing a CONNECT Edition, you will notice that the traditional INRO Software Manager (ISM) has been replaced with the Legacy License Utility. The Legacy License Utility (LLU) enables pre-CONNECT versions of EMME (v 4.1.2 to 4.6.2) and DYNAMEQ (v.3.0.0-4.4.0) to work with Bentley SES licensing. 
  3. A computer restart may be required.
  4. Sign into Bentley’s CONNECTION Client on computer with your account credentials (also found in software centre if not already installed).
    1. If not already registered, users should click on the ‘register’ now link in the Client.
  5. Start an early version of EMME or DYNAMEQ as normal. Provided that the CONNECTION Client can verify that your Bentley account is entitled to use EMME or DYNAMEQ, the Legacy License Utility 
    will authorize your software:
