I have recently upgraded to V22 Maxsurf and have a large set of excel macros setup with the older 32bit version. I have followed the video to try and link the new reference libraries, but not all reference libraries work. I've only managed to link Maxsurf Resistance - it seems the others Modeler, Stability cant be linked.
And is there a reason you are on 32 bit Excel still? There is no difference for the macro in 32 or 64 bit Excel, the same macro can run in either.
Yes I have 32bit Excel and V22 Maxsurf. So I have registered all *.exe through the command prompt. I then startup a new workbook of excel, create a new macro, then browse in the references window to try and link the Maxsurf application. Upon finding the *.exe I then click "Open' ... and then nothing. It doesn't map.
I know the process is working correctly because I have been able to map only one application from the Maxsurf Suite. I can map Resistance, but I cannot map Modeler, Motions and Stability.
The only thing I can think you might be doing wrong is not registering them properly. In command prompt, do you get the message "COM Registration Successful"?Is there any reason you are sticking with 32 bit Excel?
Yes, I am getting that message. I have followed the instructional video above exactly - multiple times.
In a large company who scrutinizes all software for cyber-security purposes, they have only 32bit excel available for download. I have requested to try get hold of 64bit. But am not sure how long this would take.
