Hello all, Is it possible to import AutoCad drawing or SAP 2000 file to SACS as input file?
I have a complex configuration of a jacket created in SAP2000 and I want to import this file to SACS.
Yes, you can export the model from SAP2000 using the "Steel Detailing Neutral File" format. SACS can import this file format from Precede. First create a new blank model and then select "Import/Steel Detailing Neutral File" as shown below.

The recommended methods for exporting models from Staad.Pro to SACS are using the Export to SACS feature or using the integrated structural modeler.
The Export Model to SACS feature is located under Tools -> User Tools -> Export Model to SACS:
The integrated structural model export is located under File -> ISM -> Create Repository:
You can then import the model in SACS under File -> ISM -> New From Repository:
