SACS query over calculation of Minor axis Bending stress and warping stress

Hi,

As part of my job, working on deck extension for an existing platform. During the course of a static analysis for a fixed platform, the walkway members ‘W6x15’ attached as cantilever to W24 members with an end release of ‘000011’ were found to be overstressed. The main overstress was noted to be due to ‘fbz’. To review further we have removed all environmental loads acting over the platform and revised the analysis. The UC in prior was ‘2.3’ while the latter case resulted in ‘6.03’.

When the analysis is performed without end release, the UC was nominal in range of 0.4 however when the release was introduced and the wind loads are ignored the UC was calculated by SACS as ‘6.03’.

When we have done detailed review of the member, we found that the actual stress as calculated by SACS is less than allowable stress as marked in box in below figure. Attached is the detailed report for the member.

With our experience from precious projects, we are sure these members will not fail for walkway loads of 5kPa. Please suggest me the way forward over this.Is it possible to provide an option to ignore warping stress for beams in SACS.
