can any body please explain about dropped object analysis in SACS.
From Section 1.3.3 of the Dynamic Response manual:
The Dynamic Response module can predict the response of structure resulting from an impact from a
vessel or a dropped object. The process can also account for fluid damping for a submerged portion of
the structure by using either an equivalent fluid damping or alternatively the program can calculate the
actual fluid forces at each step during the integration process.
Also refer to Sample 18 in the SACS program directory which contains a complete dropped object analysis.

Geoff
Dear geoff,

How i can verify in sacs and how to give kJ as a force to SACS input,Please guide me.
Thanks ,

where can i find the section 2.6.12 ? please suggest me .
Dear geoff ,
Just gone through the sample 18,sorry i am new to dynamic analysis in SACS ,there is the support condition mentioned at 022000,222000, i did n't understand and also please clarify me , whether we have to convert to plate model or our structure itself we can perform (i am having beam and column but not plate element model) .
