Fatigue Analysis Force-Time history

Hi,

I try to conduct fatigue analysis by using SACS.

With very useful answer in the communities, fatigue analysis was successful. However, I also want to conduct a fatigue experiment for some members based on results from fatigue analysis by SACS. When I do the experiment, I need force - time history table of members, I cannot see a force - time history of each member, but I just can see a overall force - time history.

Is there any way to see a force - time history of each member? And, is the force - time history for a cycle or for another period?

Many thanks,

Younghoon

  • Younghoon,

I would recommend generating a postvue database from the dynamic response common solution file using the Post Processing - Generate Postvue Database analysis. Here is the workflow:

    1. Post Processing - Generate Postvue Database
    1. Input
      1. SACS Model File
      2. SACS Common Solution File
    2. Output
    1. Postvue Database

Open the postvue database in Precede and then select File - Generate Report. Then select Member End Forces from the drop-down menu. This will generate a report with the member end forces for each load case that you have in the common solution file. For your case, it should be every time step. You can also filter by joint, element, group and load using the tabs in the Generate Report dialog. This should give all the information that you need for your experiment.
