Wave Response steady state solution plots

Hi there,

I have created a rather large model and am interested in the steady state displacement of this model under four wave cases.

To this end I have created a SACS input file for the structural model, a Seastate file for the environmental loading and extracted the first 100 mode shapes and created a dynamic mass file using Dynpac.

After this I use the Wave Response program to determine the steady state displacement x-, y- and z-direction for multiple joints.

However, when running the wave response program I am limited by the 66 character length of the PSJO line - I am interested in the x, y and z displacement of about 44 joints at the minimum.

1. Is there any way to select more joints to have their data plotted / output?

2. Is there any option to visualize the steady state response of the entire model?

I have tried adding multiple PSJO lines, this did not produce more data.

I hope to hear from you.

  • Essentially "general wave response" and " Extreme wave" are the same type of analysis for deterministic wave response. The "extreme wave" was further designed for user who want to perform post structure check due to an extreme wave response. It allows user to do post member/joint check directly in this "extreme wave" step, hence it can produce a postvue database.  The general wave response only produce structure response and you need an extra step of post processing to get postvue.
