I am unable to open postvue file to see results of my analysis , the file says it is not responding , I have re installed the software but still the same problem , what should I do ?
i have performed linear static analysis on Sacs V8i select series 4 (version 05.05.01.01)
How large is model? How many load cases are you analyzing? Approximately what size is your Postvue Database. It is possible that the Postvue database is too large which sometimes can cause problems. Try reducing the number of load cases that you are analyzing and see if that addresses the issue.
The current SACS version is 11.2. SACS 5.5 has not been supported for quite some time now. I would suggest that you upgrade your SACS version to take advantage of bug fixes and feature updates.

Yes, sometimes we have to reduce the number of load combinations in order to view the results in Precede. Could you give us a general guidelines (in file size) on the limit of the Postvue Database?

you may need to delete SACIN.dat in Postvue database (open in windows explorer) and copy sac.inp model file and rename it to SACIN.dat in the same folder.
