SACS cannot turn off environmental load and Tee error

Dear SACS expert,

Please find below my Precede input file.

sacinp.01.orig.bak

When opening the file an error about a beam property pops up. However I cannot find any errors myself:

I want to perform a basic static analysis. I have fixed the model in two points, and have only applied self weight. However in the analysis generator, there is no way to turn off the environmental analysis, which I don't need and don't have the license off:

Could you please tell me how to turn it off?

Thanks in advance,

Jack

  • Hello Jack,

In SACS each section should be defined with a section name and be referred by a member group in your model. But here in your model a Tee section is defined without section name specified and it's not used for any member group in your model, so you may need to delete this command line from your model.

For a basic static analysis, SACS can determine whether environment load calculation is needed automatically based on related commands defined in your model. Please check your input model and there should be a "LDOPT" command in your model file which define seastate related options. Once you have this command issued in your model, SACS will take it as a sign that you're intending to do environment calculated. Please remove this command from your input file if you don't to perform environment calculation.
