Hi
When we are performing hydrostatic or stability analysis on Hydromax stability module , The module automatically assumes that the ship is in salt water. The water density of the report can be seen 1.025 T/m^3. But I am designing a small vessel that will run on freshwater environment so I was wondering is it possible to define the environment inside the model as Freshwater so that when it calculates Hydrostatic or stability it uses Water density of 1 T/cubic m. I can see using the density option I can customize the water that goes inside the tanks. But is it possible to define freshwater for the vessel environment ?
MAXSURF Stability assumes the vessel is floating in Seawater, but you can change the density of Seawater to be whatever value you like.
Analysis | Density opens a table where Seawater is the top line. Adjust this value to be 1.0000 if that is what you require. You may also want to change the Water Ballast value.
