I'd like to know which wave spectrum should be more appropriate for seakeeping analyses in the Mediterranean sea.
While screening through the web I found some publications which are proposing different gamma values (peak enhancement factor) for the JONSWAP or the Bretschneider spectra.
I'm wondering if there is any chance to adjust this parameter in Motions in order to modify the spectra as desired.

There is an ocean waves statistics atlas published by BMT I think, which provides the probability of different spectra appearing at different times of year, in different sea areas - that is where I would look. http://www.globalwavestatisticsonline.com/ there are possibly other sources for similar data
In absence of metocean data, I would determine gamma based on the formulation given in DNV-RP-C205:
