Hello all,
I need to change the arrangement of oil tanks for calculating the oil outflow. I also need to use the Maxsurf automation due to study verity of designs. When I use the manual method, I can tick (or untick) the check box of the tanks in the "MARPOL options..." manually. By automation I could not find any similar function.
I also noticed that there is possibility of saving the “Marpol.mpl”, and opening it manually, then, the only chosen tanks in the “.mpl” file can be updated and gives the oil outflow results. But, I could not find any method to open the “.mpl” in the automation.
I will appreciate you, if you have any suggestion for me.

Hi, for the moment MARPOL commands/options are not exposed through the COM interface at this time (it is in the wish list) I will see if we have the resources to implement this for the next release.
It is not feasible to manually edit a .mpl file since this is binary and not really human-readable

it is nice to hear the ability will be add to automation in future, However, I programmed this part by myself.
I think, Maxsurf is using the "simplified method" for calculation of oil outflow, if I am wrong, please tell me.
so I have a suggestion for future work, if Maxsurf can calculate the oil outflow by the "hypothetical sub-compartments", it would have more accurate results.
