Hello,
Is it possible to plot the jacket members deflection during launch analysis in MOSES?
Many thanks
Regard,
Mohamed
Hi Mohamed,
Yes, you can get the jacket member deflections during the launch analysis in MOSES. You will have to run MOSES separately. When you run MOSES via the SACS window all structural computations in MOSES are turned off.
In your working directory there should now be a directory where all the MOSES files are contained. You will have to edit the auto_tools.cif file. You will need to add the commands to perform a structural analysis. You can use the file man_laun.cif in the following directory as a sample.
C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\MOSES CONNECT Edition V11\hdesk\runs\tests\install
I hope this helps.

Hi Georgina,
Many thanks for your reply. the structural analysis has been performed. Ratios, stresses, loads ... etc have been calculated. However, I cannot see plot the deflection of the jacket members.
Regards,
As an example, you could add the following command to the man_laun.cif file.
joint_post displacement -load lt30
You can use the "joint_post" command after the "beam_post" command.
