In Maxsurf I am trying to establish which loading conditions I would need in order to achieve a specified draft fore and aft. I have managed to get the needed displacement from the specified conditions analysis. However, I am struggling to find any of the analysis that would give me the overall Longitudinal Centre of Gravity and the KG to achieve my desired trim condition.
Any thoughts?

Hi Andy,
This sounds like you are after an Upright Hydrostatics Analysis. The inputs are trim + draft or displacement.
From the results, you could then ascertain the LCG. The VCG is actually an input in the draft and displacement dialogs.

I got to this also ie the software doesn’t tell you what the loading conditions would need to be to get to the drafts I’m after. Instead I derived a LCG and VCG based on BM, LCB and KB with a bit of trigonometry.
