Hi
I tried to find Mass moment of inertia of my structure using TOW-RBMASS command. ALL LOADS i specified in my main *.INP file and when try to check in the Tow output i find that self weight is added or duplicated again in the RBMASS case alone. switching on/off CONSIDER LOADING ONLY will help in exclude/include structure self weight calculation towing inertia loading alone but not in the calculation of rigid body mass matrix. Could any one let me know how to exclude the self weight consideration on/off in towing to avoid the load duplication. even if i use weight contingency factor to zero it takes in the RBMASS calculation weight duplication. I have in my original file self weight with some factor of increase for connections. I tried it switching of there and use Towing self weight with weight contingency factor as my connection increase factor, But weight increase factor command is Recognized in total weight calculation but not in the RBMASS mass & Mass moment of inertia calculations
I did small sacs file to in order to so the issue and get some guidance from experts.
I used SACS & SACS in both version same problem
sacs query.zip
you need to put small density i.e. 1.0-7 in your GRUP. SACS calculates selfweight from member density for RBMASS command.

Is It possible to use factors for self weight. i tried with weight contingency factor but its is not recognized in RBMASS calculation alone. is there any verification problem or manual calculation for simple system available in sacs to check the mass property results please.
Use Seastate to create OCI. Weight factors can be counted during seastate, then OCI will be input for TOW run.
