Hello, good day. I would like to ask if anyone knows how do I import my model file to Orcaflex. It says that I have to put mark up text. However I am unfamiliar with it. I hope someone can help as I would need to submit my project soon.
Hi Georgina,
Thank you for the suggestion. I would want to use Moses but I have a submission by the end of this month and I am not sure how to use the mooring analysis. Nevertheless, I am sure to try out Moses in the future.
Hi Justin,
I checked your profile. The only information provided is that you prefer English.
What do you mean "I have a submission"?
You have dedicated time to making a model in MOSES, but now you are considering using a 2nd program. How about continuing with MOSES?
What type of analysis are you doing? I can suggest a file for you to use as a go-by.

I have a project submission on mooring analysis. As I am doing a project on mooring, I would actually like to try doing an analysis on the mooring line tension for vessel moored at quayside as well as ship-to-ship mooring.
I thought that Orcaflex might be able to help after I model the vessel here as I am not sure if Moses can do analysis on mooring.
However, since you mentioned there is a possibility, I would be glad to use Moses.
Oh I have not yet updated my profile as I just joined the Bentley communities.
Thank you so much and Kind Regards,
Justine
Hi Justine,
Please see the sbs files for a ship side-by-side mooring analysis. They can be found in the following directory.
C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\MOSES CONNECT Edition V11\hdesk\runs\samples\mooring
Please see the quay file for a ship quay side. They can be found in the following directory.
C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\MOSES CONNECT Edition V11\hdesk\runs\samples\how_to
Again, the assumption is that you took the defaults when you installed MOSES.
Please use these files as go-by. If you have a model in MOSES Hull Modeler you can substitute that model for one of the vessels in the files.
I have found the files and I am trying to learn how to do it now! Thank you for the constant help . I am now trying to figure out how to put 2 ships side by side. Thank you
