Is there a setting so SACS does not delete blank loadcns when saving in precede? In the past this didn't happen and a lot of old models have blank loadcns in them. It also used to be common practice to set up a set of loadcns on new projects and fill them in with loads as you get info.
Hi Jacob,Which version of SACS are you using right now? I check on SACS 13.2, and found no missing empty load cases. If you delete the load item in datagen/editor, and leave the loadcn blank - the empty loadcn will not be deleted. User can't view the empty loadcn in Precede, but can still add new load item in the empty loadcn via Precede or Datagen/editor.I hope this information helps.
We're using version 12.0.0.1. Is that something that was changed in later between the two versions or is there a setting?
What happens when you hit save in the precede graphic modeler?
Does anyone have a way so that when saving in precede that blank loadcns do not get deleted?
I understand that the latest version (v.14 onward) will not have this problem.
If you still have this problem. Then, do not make it blank !
Put one line of loading at some joint in your structure, however you can put ZERO loading to that line.
Now, this load case is NOT blank. It will not delete when you save it via precede.
