SACS overwrites .inp file with empty file when closed

I have a frustrating problem regularly resulting in lost work when using SACS 13.0 CONNECT Edition and Precede. I am running Windows 7 using the SACS Offshore Structure license.

When closing both these programs shortly after one another, any SACS .inp file open in Precede modeller will be overwritten with an empty 172 byte file.

To recreate the issue all I have to do is:

1. With SACS 13.0 CONNECT Edition open, open any .inp file in Precede

2. Save the .inp file in Precede (ctrl+s)

3. Close Precede (clicking the X button)

4. Close SACS 13.0 CONNECT Edition (clicking the X button)

Regardless of the size or contents of the .inp file, the file will be overwritten immediately. The remaining .inp file is essentially empty, the only content is:

<SACSProject Name="" Description="" PWLocation="" Worksheet="" PWProjectID="0" PWID="0" CONNECTProjectID="{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}"/>

Closing Precede followed by closing SACS 13.0 CONNECT Edition is a typical routine when finishing work, and there is no way to recover the lost file (apart from through windows previous versions) as SACS has no autosave feature. The only way to avoid the issue is to wait a significant time between closing Precede and SACS 13.0 CONNECT Edition (at least 30 secs to be sure).

Can anyone advise if this is a known issue and whether there is any fix?
