Unable to analyse whether the freeboard is greater than a minimum required value (downflooding point) for damaged cases

Hi, I want to analyse my hull model in damged condition whether the freeboard is greater than the downflooding points.

In order to perform the criteria i have set up the condition as showed below:

1. Select the needed criteria

2. Set up the downflooding points and damage case (this is one of the damage cases).

3. Run large angle stability from -30 to 90 degree to port.

However, the criteria is still not analysed from every damage case.

Please advise on how to get the criteria analysed.

  • Hi Benedict,

Sorry - it looks like you didn't get a response to this.

There are two things I think it could be:

     - You haven't analysed it: This is a equilibrium condition, so you'll need to run an equilibrium analysis. A lot of stability rules require Large Angle Stability analysis instead.

     - You haven't set it to be analysed: In the criteria window, you can set each criteria to be assessed for intact, damaged or water on deck conditions. If you are seeing intact results but not damaged ones, then this is probably your problem.

    Regards,

    James
