Dear all,
I have problem with the hydrostatic my results are not proper . If we minus KMt-KG we will get GMt but as per my calculation its not matching.
kindly give me a solution guys. thank you!!
Is this results from Upright Hydrostatics?
Do you have any vessel trim or heel? Take a look at Appendix A in the manual to see how in a trimmed vessel, KG + GM will not equal KM because they are measured in different axis systems.

James
Dear James,
Thank you for your response . Yes its upright hydrostatics and the boat having trim fwd 0.228m .
So my result is correct?
I have one more Question. My LBP is 3.4 m and the trim 0.228 fwd from the aft perpendicular my LCB is getting 1.935 for 0.320 draft. I think this is too much fwd its look like wrong. For Reference find the attachment.
I think it is within reason, although it is unusually far forward.
1) I'm surprised that I can't see a decent outline of your hull in the Frame of Reference dialog. Any idea why I can't see surface edges along the keel? Have you wrapped surfaces from port to starboard or something?
2) Have you checked every section is formed correctly? Take a look at section 39 of the manual (the whole section is pretty useful really).
This Fully Inflatable boat there no hull for this boat only Tube.
Here I'm attached the file for reference.
Thank you!!
It there a floor in this boat that provides buoyancy too? If you do add a floor, remember that you need to create a closed cross sections across your model to form your hydrostatic sections properly. It might involve some trimming that makes your model look a little bit less real.
Also - MAXSURF doesn't really like surfaces that self intersect. I your case, most of your pontoons seem to be made up of 2 surfaces, that is great. However the aft cones look like they are a single surface where one edge joins back to the surfaces other edge.
I would use the Surfaces | Split command to split this cone into 2 surfaces.
I might be wrong about your model - it is hard to see in the screengrab.
Can you send your Email id I will send my model.
