hi all ,
currently , i need to perform inplace and dynamic analysis for a jetty , which is client requirement
my problem is the client soil data is not sufficient to generate psi inp
doesnt have p-y , T-z and Q-z data , only soil capacity , i cant ask more data.
so with limited data , that i have ,
what should i do to generate dynsef and perform dynamic analysis
your suggestion is appreciate
1 more ... can we generate psi input for concrete pile ??? and run it for superelement as usual ?
thanks for reply
SACS PSI provide features for soil data which only physical property of soil is contained to perform in-place analysis.
you can use cards mentioned in PSI manual 10.1.2.3 API t-z curve for axial soil property input to model soil axial property
you can use cards mentioned in PSI manual 10.1.5.1 API p-y curve for lateral soil property input to model soil lateral property.
for torsion, I think you can model it with a constant torsion spring.
I think psi input file is generated by user, no mater the data is t-z curves ,p-y curves, or just soil physical property. and I don't think there is a big difference between precast concrete pile and steel pile. what I can think of is capacity and physical property of precast concrete pile is hard to get. If we can get capacity and physical property of precast concrete pile, I think SACS can do analysis for concrete pile.
You should use Plaxis to calculate Py Tz Qz from the input soil data.
