For my thesis I need to define the effects of fixed fin stabilizers relative to ship motion in Maxsurf Motions. In the model which I've made in Modeler, I designed four fixed fin stabilizers.
The question I would like to ask is: Can I assume that if I make use of a certain profile as a fixed stabilizers, for instance a NACA-0010 , this automatically will be seen as 'stabilzer' by Maxsurf Motions or do I have to change properties (or something else) so Motions will see the surface as 'stabilizer'?
I couldn't found a post regarding this topic, so that's why I'm asking you this.
