Dear All,
I was checking JOINT CAN DEFAULT SETTING in PostVue and found that the minimum gap allowed is written as "-254cm" and Maximum Gap allowed as "2540 cm". (See Image Below)
Are these setting used while reporting results or one defined in "jcninp" file. Please clarify.
Hi Syed,
This settings are used for redesign. The reported results come from the design using parameters defined in the Joint Can input file (jcninp).
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Rafael Lara
Dear Rafael,
Thanks for responding. Can you please elaborate on how can we redesign while being in PostVue using these options? Also, it means we don't need to define Jointcan input file (jcninp) and can use these settings to see joint results in POSTVUE?Thanks. Awaiting your response.
Postvue will only change the properties and code check using the same results you achieved using the properties defined in your model. You will need to run the analysis again with the new properties to have the correct results.
Once you need the parameters to code check you need to define the jcninp or use the default parameters when you run the analysis.
Hope that i was able to clarify you doubt.
