I am currently using maxsurf resistance to predict the power and speed. My question : is the porwer from the calculation DHP or BHP?

Page 34 of the manual covers this quite well. I recommend having a read.
For most cases, the MAXSURF Resistance calculation is calculating the vessel resistance. The vessel power is calculated from the resistance, velocity and efficiency.
You can adjust the efficiency value (Analysis | Efficiency) so simulate the power at any point in your drive train.
