T-section use as a stiffener where the sten is attached to element

Hi Bently specialist 
 I found there is a function when define the section group, there is option "use as a stiffener where the sten is attached to element".How this section will be code check, where I can detailed manual?

When the "use as a stiffener where the stem is attached to element" is selected, the section will be treated as if it has a web for an I-section instead of a T-section because the end of the stem will be restrained by the other element. This will modify web slenderness checks and shear stresses for the element. Note that this is only applicable if the t-section is modeled as a beam element. This has no effect on plate stiffeners specified on the plate group definition or for stiffened box or stiffened cylinder stiffener sections.
