We are working on a hopper dredger. Is it possible in Maxsurf to have two different types of liquids (mud/sand and water) in one spilling tank (hopper cargo in our case)?
We are limited to only having one type of liquid in a tank.
It has been a while since I had to look at Hopper Barge Stabilty rules - but I don't recall them needing two phase liquids in tanks.
You can add mass items to the loadcase to represent the mud/ slurry in the tank, then fill the tank with water. For the density of the mud, subtract the density of seawater so you don't double count the seawater and mud filling.
