Dear Bentley team,
Query 1: I would like to know how to add Swell & wave trains in Moses for mooring and motion analysis.
Query 2: Also i would like to know how to read the damping Matrix and damping values from Moses output inorder to compare with class rules and make sure damping considered in Moses is within the limits of classification society provided rules.
Thank you.
Hi Sai Kumar,
You can add a swell with the command "&env ename -a_sea".
You can add a wave train via the "&data environment" menu. Please see the S_GRID, Horizontal, and Vertical commands.
There are several ways to report the damping matrix. A common way is to use the hydrodynamics menu. Please see the v_matrices command.
I hope this helps.

Hi Georgina,
I wanted to use the below command to add swell to the wind sea which was already defined earlier. I'm basically wanting to overlap swell with wind sea so that both occur at the same time. please advise if this is correct.
or suggest how can I combine both swell & wind sea to take the combined effect of swell & wind sea into consideration.
&env TEST -sea JONSWAP 45 1.91 6.21 1.2 -wind 18.70 45 -sp_type PEAK -TIME 1000 0.5 -current 0.52 45 -a_sea JONSWAP 135 0.91 12.57 3.8''
I cannot check your work. I cannot say that the command you are showing is "correct." I can say that you followed the instructions.
Thank you Georgina,
Is there any way to provide Seed numbers to the input file to observe the analysis variation with different seed numbers in MOSES
Please use the -t_reinforce option.
