I am using Maxsurf V23 in one of my research works. How do I cite it (in BibTex)?

The citation style depends on the journal/University format (APA, MLA, Chicago etc.).

I would have thought something like "MAXSURF v23.05.00.139, May 2022. Bentley Systems Inc., United States" would suffice. Different citation formats will differ from this example, but as long as your citation contains the version number and the release year, the reference should be fine.

In BiblaTex there is a @software entry form which could be filled out like:

@software{maxsurf,
author = {{Bentley Systems Incorporated}},
title = {MAXSURF},
url = {https://www.bentley.com},
version = {23.05.00.139},
date = {2022-05-03},
}
