Problem Description

When I run the equilibrium condition in Maxsurf Stability the solver does not reach a solution, instead a message box is generated indicating that the analysis has been halted due to the trim exceeding 75 degrees.

Steps to Resolve

This is one of the general damage stability checks you do to make sure the model doesn’t sink or exceed excessive trim by running equilibrium analysis. It means the vessel may have been completely submerged and Maxsurf Stability cannot perform a displacement/buoyancy balance as required for the equilibrium analyses. You need to check your loadcases and make sure it’s defined properly.
