Multiframe Activation

Solution

For Multiframe (basic), please make sure to select Multiframe (basic) during installation.

Also, in Bentley License Management Tool, you have to make sure that your Multiframe (basic) license is activated as follows:

1. Open up the Bentley License Management Tool from windows Start Menu > All Programs > Bentley Engineering > Multiframe xx V8i > License Tool

2. You have to make sure that your Multiframe (basic) license is activated (ei. activate Multiframe (basic) product).

-Go to Tools menu > Options

-Fill-in the Site Activation Code

(Bentley provided)

-Click “Apply” button and just close the dialog

-Go to the “Activation Status” tab

-Select the “Multiframe” (basic) from the product list

-Then click “Activate” button

3. Run “Multiframe (basic)” software

4. Go to “Edit” menu > “License Preferences”

5. set the “Select Preferred License” to “Multiframe (basic)”

6. click OK,

7. then restart Multiframe (basic) software again to apply the changes

For Multiframe Advanced, you need to select the Multiframe Advanced during installation and activate it similarly as indicated in item #1 to item #7 above.

Also, when launching Multiframe software it will always show a splash screen with which license it is currently running as shown below:
