This is where the frequently asked questions about the MOSES structural post-processing are located. It is intended that MOSES structural regulation check be done via MOSES POSTVUE. Therefore it is expected the majority of these questions here be about MOSES POSTVUE.
Beginning in spring 2022, MOSES version 12.04, has included MOSES POSTVUE and PRECEDE. It is intended that the structural analysis regulation check be done with POSTVUE. MOSES solves the structural stiffness matrix and then provides the internal loads to POSTVUE via a Common Solution File (CSF). MOSES POSTVUE is the regulation structural regulation post-processor used in SACS.
Prior to MOSES POSTVUE, earlier versions of MOSES did have a regulation check feature. There is also instances where the interpretation of the regulation differed between MOSES and SACS. Questions about Regulation checks via Earlier MOSES commands and differences in regulation interpretations will be identified with the word "EARLIER" in the post.
MOSES solves the structural stiffness matrix and then provides the internal loads to POSTVUE via a Common Solution File (CSF). Differences between MOSES structural solver and SACS structural solver will be identified with the words "STIFFNESS MATRIX" in the post.
It is assumed all other posts will be about MOSES POSTVUE and will not have an identification word.
