QUESTION:
I had a model sent to me last week that I have found doesn't have the standard criteria listings. Is there a file I can bring into the model file from another model in Maxsurf Stability?
ANSWER:
To be able to locally recreate the model, you can ask someone for the following file extensions:
* .hcr - Criteria file, contains information relative to stability criteria, ships with application but can be added/modified by user.
* .msd - Contains geometry information including Surfaces, Curves, Trimeshes, Markers along with other design parameters (frame of reference etc.).
* .hmd - HydroMax Design file contains all information pertaining to stability calculations.
If you want to bring the criteria from a different model, let's say Model A to Model B, go to File -- Criteria -- Import Main Criteria, then select the (.hcr) file extension from Model A to load into Model B.
