How to know which Wind units are compatible with my model SACS?

Depending on the units in the card LDOP in your SACS model you will have the option to work with different units like m/seg, mph, ft/s, or knots, but the selection of the units is related to the units of the global model, below we have some recommendation for chose the correct unit for your model.

• If your model is in SI (ME or MN), doesn't matter the unit that you select in the wind card (mph, ft/sec, or knots), the value entered in this field wind velocity of the card WIND always will be considered in m/sec (as a default), The option to change the type of unit only applies when your model is in EN you can refer to the manual to check the correct units for the units' model.  Depending on the type of SI units in the model (ME or MN) are the units for the forces in the output file, if your model is in ME the forces given it for SACS will be in Kilograms and if the model is in MN the forces will be in kilo-Newtons.

• On another hand, when you have the model in EN units (LDOPT  card), you have the possibility to select between units' miles per hour, ft/sec, and knots, All are supported for sacs, and all options will report the forces in KIPS
