Problem

I am performing a Random Wave Analysis to get the axial forces on the pile on a jacket structure. How can I include the pile super element in the analysis?

Solution

You need to check the "edit foundation option" in the analysis generator. Once you activate the same, the generator will prompt for a psi/pile input file. Refer your dynsef* file there and you will be able to execute the analysis using the pile head super element as linearized soil.

SACSV23 it talks about the non-linear pile soil interaction. This can be implemented by using the NLFOPT command in Wave Response Input File.
