Problem

I am doing analysis of Jacket Structure with the presence of Soil Liquefaction Potential. How to input the consideration of liquefication into PSI input file?

Solution

You need to add the SOIL LIQUEFY HEAD and SOIL LIQUEFY SLOC lines to your psi input file when calculating your pile superelement.

See SACS PSI manual section 2.4.7.

Your input should look like this:

SOIL LIQUEFY HEAD  8             8.5  1.SOL1   1.0                                                                                                    

SOIL LIQUEFY SLOCB           18.04  CPT            1.015 0.03663.614                                                    

SOIL LIQUEFY SLOCB 18.04 30.42  CPT            1.015 0.03663.614
